So going back about 6 1/2 weeks, let's introduce Miss Emma.
She was born at 9:43 am at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center.
She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. She was by far smaller than Alicia and I had imagined. According to how big Alicia thought she was, Emma was going to come out 10 lbs. Alicia never was that great at judging how big she was.
From the very beginning though, Emma seemed ready to take it all in. She was so extremely calm that we knew from the start she had her daddy's temperament. The first few days, the only time we heard her cry was when she had her very first bath. Other than that it was just coos and whimpers.
